Tuesday 22 July 2025 Farewell Year 6! With the end of the school year, we say a fond farewell to our wonderful Year 6 pupils. We hope they have enjoyed all of their end-of-year celebrations. They have been fantastic role models to the younger children and have shown maturity, resilience, and kindness throughout their time with us. It was wonderful to spend this afternoon celebrating them and sharing in their personal memories of their time here at the school as well as hearing their aspirations for the future. They have left a lasting mark on our community so it is no wonder that we were all left feeling a little emotional by the end of the afternoon as we watched them ring the bell and head out of school for the final time. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and know they are more than ready for the exciting challenges ahead at secondary school. We wish them every success and happiness in the future – they will always be part of our school family.

Tuesday 22 July 2025 S is for Success and for Sports' Day! We'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came along and joined us for Sports' Day! We were thrilled to see such fantastic energy and team spirit at this year's Sports' Day! It was a full day of active fun and sporting achievements for our children who spent the morning taking part in an exciting carousel of different sports and challenges. In the afternoon, we opened with our fantastic and colourful parade which introduced our exciting new teams: Flame, Oak, River and Sky! Following our parade, the whole school danced in unity to their opening number, ‘believer!' The children then took part in a wide range of events – from traditional races to fun relays – all with big smiles and bags of enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see every child giving their best, cheering each other on, and showing great sportsmanship and perseverance throughout the day. A big thank you to all the staff, and especially Mrs Beckett, for organising the event, and to the fa

Friday 27 June 2025 Sapphire Class Sharing Assembly Sapphire Class impressed us all this morning with their fantastic sharing assembly. It was jam-packed with so much of the work and learning they had chosen to share with us from across the curriculum. We enjoyed hearing about their learning in PE, where they shared the skills they had developed in football and golf. We loved hearing their great writing, both in their letters to their pen pals and in their creative stories where they turned into their pet for the day! We also enjoyed a fantastic demonstration of how we are using active punctuation at school to help us to remember to use it in our writing. We saw some of their great art work and also their moving parts posters encouraging us to think about our planet and reduce how much single-use plastic we buy and use. They also shared learning from music with one pupil showing the confidence to play their composition to the audience. The assembly also made the audience smile and laugh. Well done Year 3 and 4—you're going to

Friday 6 June 2025 Ruby Class Sharing Assembly Ruby Class enjoyed sharing some of their learning with family and friends in our class assembly today. The children chose to share a phonics lesson including speed sounds, reading multi-syllabic words, Fred Finger spelling and partner reading. Everyone was super impressed with the progress the children have made this year. They also played a game of 'beat the champion' to show their knowledge of doubles and demonstrated their understanding of repeating patterns using musical instruments. Some of the children were brave enough to read out their independent stories and everyone spoke clearly and confidently when saying something that is precious to them. The children also shared some 'growing' topic work, PE skills and their competent understanding of sun safety. It was lovely to hear the whole school sing our new 'success' anthem, Shine, to finish a very successful assembly.

Friday 16 May 2025 VE Day Celebrations! What a glorious afternoon we had marking this very important occasion. The sun was shining and thanks to your generosity there was much tea and cake to be enjoyed! After the lighting of our spectacular beacon, it was wonderful to take a moment as a community at the beginning of our afternoon to think about VE Day and to show our respect and empathy for all those who fought and contributed to the war effort, and to be thankful for the many opportunities we have today as a result. Sapphire Class read beautifully and confidently. Ruby Class were fantastic as they zoomed around as our own ‘Ruby Red Arrows!’ There was a lovely atmosphere and a real sense of unity and community throughout the afternoon which seemed to be enjoyed by all. There were many activities to enjoy including flag making, VE Day colouring, tin can alley, tug-of-war, egg and spoon, pond dipping and den building. Plus there was our VE Day gallery to visit which was a great chance to see and read about
