Our Vision Statement
'Together we are a PRECIOUS team; We work hard to shine and gleam!’
The Christian bible talks of God seeing humans as his jewels in the making (Malachi 3:16-17)
Our classes represent precious jewels; every individual sparkling gem, child and adult, has amazing potential. All are valued, and valuable, as God's children: His special treasure. 
Our vision statement was developed by our staff and pupils. Each letter in 'PRECIOUS' represents the Christian values which are at the heart of our school.
Our PRECIOUS logo was designed by our pupils.
Our PRECIOUS Values
P is for Perseverance and comes at the beginning of the word to remind us that we start any tasks or activities with a positive mindset and a determination to succeed and not give up! We keep going, even when things are tricky. We celebrate effort as well as achievement. We encourage each other to keep trying.
R is for Responsibility and Respect. We treat everyone in our school community with respect, kindness and fairness. We take responsibility for our learning, choices and actions and we look after our environment. We look out for each other and we are polite, friendly and well-mannered.
E is for Empathy. We are kind, thoughtful and supportive. We include everyone and listen carefully to others. We think about how our actions affect others and we encourage and everyone to be the best they can be.
C is for Creativity. We use our creativity to help us in our learning every day across all subjects in our curriculum as well as when we are working and playing together. We enjoy using our imaginations to solve problems and come up with new ideas. We find new and positive ways to express ourselves.
I is for Independent Learner. We know it is important to be honest and to think for ourselves. We develop our independence by finding our own strategies and being brave enough to try things on our own.
O is for Opportunity. At our school we appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow every day, both through the teaching and learning in our classrooms and through the exciting enrichment opportunities we have. We try new things with a positive attitude and make the most of the chances given to us. We are open to learning from mistakes.
U is for Unity. We believe in working together and understand that as a team we can achieve many things. We include everybody. We love being part of both our school and local community.
S is for Success! S comes at the end of our word because, by applying all of our PRECIOUS values we can achieve success - be that academic, creative, sporting or personal achievement. We celebrate our own successes and those of others. We understand that success looks different for everyone.
Our values are embedded in the smoothing and polishing process, as we learn together to 'shine and gleam' and be the very best we can be.
